Open Gardens 2025
We have 19 gardens now participating in our Prestbury Open Gardens weekend – a HUGE thank you to all the garden owners as this is not a decision they take lightly.
We have several gardens that have been a part of this event in past years but we also have SEVEN new gardens to add to the excitement.

Please note: Minibus Service will be hop on, hop off and can be hailed by waving your ticket at the driver who will then stop at the nearest safe and convenient spot.
Gardens will be clustered in the following areas of our beautiful village: You can get a feel for the gardens to be open from the quotes below by the garden owners themselves…… a tantalising impression of what is to come!

Noverton
Foxcote – A hidden garden surrounded by mature trees which create challenging dry shade. We are fighting box moth caterpillar and honey fungus. Large pond and some unusual plants. Outdoor teas served here.
15 Noverton Lane – A medium sized garden started from scratch 8 years ago and still evolving. Semi-formal structure with relaxed planting. Roses, herbaceous, no-dig fruit & veg patch.
13 South View Way – The garden is a large corner plot that has been imaginatively divided into lawn area, wild area, vegetable gardens and entertainment space; including a summer house, pottery studio, ferns, acers and fruit trees.
45 South View Way – Unique Moroccan inspired garden with central reflecting pool, decorative screens and cottage garden planting. Designed for peace and relaxation.
16 Studland Drive – A small garden with a view of Cleeve Hill, which includes a vegetable patch, a small wildlife pond and several varieties of Salvias amongst other colourful perennials planted to encourage wildlife.
Robinswood – Large, sunny garden with flower borders, vegetable plot and fruit cage inside the original walled garden of the now demolished Prestbury Court. An interesting living Wendy House for the grandchildren. Jane Sherwood, a willow weaver, will be demonstrating her craft and will have beautiful woven willow items for sale.

High Street
Potters End 10 Morningside Close – Small, densely planted garden oasis alongside the High Street peppered with a variety of unique stoneware sculptures. We last opened in 2021. Once again, the owners will have pots, plaques and sculptures for sale (cash or credit).
Reform Cottage – I love living here, in the dappled sunshine through the trees. I repair, recycle and spend as little as possible while doing all the work myself. I am an art teacher, and I am showing my sculptures in the garden.
Tudor Cottage 2 High Street – A hidden, wildlife friendly garden with a plant collector’s border, pond and vegetable plot, and steps to a sunken area.
Baytree Court – a tranquil and accessible garden, designed to provide residents with enjoyment and sensory stimulation. Visitors can expect a peaceful retreat, showcasing a variety of plants that promote relaxation and connection with nature.

Mill Street
The Cottage – This beautiful, large garden has been featured in Cotswold Life. It includes formal hedging and topiary with mixed relaxed planting. There is a sunken area with rill, a courtyard herb garden, a wildlife area with stream and a formal entertaining area.
The Folly – This garden is a contemporary, architectural, relaxed garden – a great space for entertaining.
Church Farmhouse – A mature cottage style garden planted to give colour throughout the year. There is a good-sized vegetable garden which provides a range of produce and cut flowers for the house.
Southam Cottage – An intimate cottage-style garden with a modern twist, overlooked by the church but otherwise secluded within a high dry-stone wall. The garden has generous planting for year-round colour, with spaces for entertaining, working and relaxing in the sun.

Shaw Green Lane
Shaws – The garden has evolved over our 35 years here and is now designed for retirement and visiting grandchildren. We have created wildlife areas to complement the mature planting and in the last few years have cleared back congested beds, old trees and the Yew Tree Bell with which visitors may be familiar. We have regular help without which the garden would rapidly become overgrown, the state in which it was found! A mature garden developed for an active family now returning with grandchildren to explore and experience wildlife areas in safety.
75 Shaw Green Lane – A deceptively large garden with different zones and a vegetable plot at the end. An attractively designed area behind the house with ornamental pond and Wedding Day rose smothering a yew tree.

Coronation Road
3 Coronation Road – An organic, cottage-style, wildlife garden. Borders, gravel paths and wildlife pond. With a surprise…!
15 Coronation Road – A back to front 1920’s bungalow with a garden of many faces!
Cheena Coronation Road – Our garden is a quirky mix of art and horticulture. Feel free to visit Stephen’s art studio at the same time, which will also be accessible during the Cheltenham Open Studios festival.
