A message of thanks from Father Nick

CHURCH GRATITUDE!

The parish of Prestbury was buzzing with noise of admiration and wonder at the number and beauty of gardens open throughout last weekend! In nine years as team rector, I cannot recall it being busier than our weekend and of course, the weather smiled too!

On behalf of the parish churches, I want to express my gratitude for all of your efforts last weekend – and crucially, in the build-up to last weekend as well. As in so many things, the key is in the preparation and I know how many hours were spent right up until Saturday morning, and of course then through the weekend itself. So many people helping in so many ways.

I know we will soon know the total amount raised but equally important has been the community-building aspect – something remarked on by numerous visitors who seemed to come from all over the south of England and mainland Europe, too! So many happy, smiling faces, so much laughter and goodwill. It makes you proud to be in Prestbury!
